Ladies and Gentlemen, this was a seriously dirty car.* Probably the dirtiest car I've ever worked on.* No, DEFINITELY the dirtiest car I've ever worked on.* To make this car perfect, I would normally need to have it on-site and work on it for two days.* That wasn't an option this time around.* This project was done at the client's apartment in just less than eight hours.* I barely had time to think during this one!

The Car: A 2004 Scion Xb.* Not my favorite car, as a detailer, you gotta love those big flat body panels.* Barely a curve on the car.

There was a family of rocks living in the wheel wells...
http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww192/FiveSouthDetailing/IMG_5149.jpg

The paint was dull and had lots of, well, stuff on it.* Not sure if it had ever been waxed...ever.
http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww192/FiveSouthDetailing/IMG_5153.jpg

Black plastic in bad shape.* Why are there ALWAYS pine needles stuck in cars?
http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww192/FiveSouthDetailing/IMG_5154.jpg

Dirt.
http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww192/FiveSouthDetailing/IMG_5166.jpg

More of the same.

http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww192/FiveSouthDetailing/IMG_5171.jpg

Ugh
http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww192/FiveSouthDetailing/IMG_5174.jpg

Suspicion confirmed.* No wax.
http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww192/FiveSouthDetailing/IMG_5193.jpg

Getting the pine needles out.
http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww192/FiveSouthDetailing/IMG_5197.jpg

The family of wheel well rocks is now homeless.
http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww192/FiveSouthDetailing/IMG_5213.jpg

Showing improvement!* This is after washing, claying and polishing.
http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww192/FiveSouthDetailing/IMG_5214.jpg

Hitting the interior with steam.
http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww192/FiveSouthDetailing/IMG_5224.jpg

After sealant and wax!
http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww192/FiveSouthDetailing/IMG_5235.jpg
http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww192/FiveSouthDetailing/IMG_5236.jpg

After all was said and done, I was pretty happy with the results.* Ideally there would have been more paint correction, but this was a time trial.* The owner was blown away with the results.

Oh yes, turns out the car was GREEN.

Looking good, especially for on site work. I'd suggest you get yourself some dressing for tires, it looks a bit incomplete without it IMO.

I agree, but the customer asked me not to dress the tires. I suppose I should have mentioned that in the post.

That is one ugly ride, but it looks WAY better than it did.

Thanks everyone. I know it isn't easy to compliment work on such a ghastly car.

How much did you pay for the steamer?
