I want to run non-staggered this year on my e36 M3 and I did a test fit but the the 8.5" wide wheels just barely rubbed on the front strut. What spacers am I going to need to run to be able to run the wider M-Contour wheels in the front? I am planning on running 245/40R17 tires all around.
I am not sure what suspension is on the car as it was lowered when I bought the car but if I had to guess, they are some sport springs with either stock or slightly upgraded dampers. It is pretty low already but I don't want to be rubbing on everything bump. I am also running offset Powerflex lower control arm bushings as well right now.
I will be upgrading to some Ground Control coilovers within a year hopefully but not sure if that is going to affect what spacer I will need right now. I have been looking at the 10mm Rogue Engineering spacers since they come with extended wheel bolts.
Another question, am I going to need need to run an increased amount negative camber? I don't have camber plates but I do have a new set of front strut mount tops that I was planning on putting on eventually and I know that I can turn them around to gain about 3 degrees camber. A bit too much but I will put up with it for a little while if I am going to need the extra camber.
