Im sure you havent bled it properly. Use my SN, advanced search, type in bleed or bled for the term, and there will be a couple of walkthroughs to do it properly.

If youre too lazy to search.

Thanks, I found a small leak in the cooling hose connector under the mainfold that I just replaced. Im gonna seal it and try again. You've been a big help, thanks

The thermostat is removed and as soon as the system reachs op temp, the car overheats. Ive bled the air out, changed everything except the water pump. How do I check to see if its working or not?

It shouldnt reach operating temp without a thermostat. To check a waterpump, remove it and see if it spins freely and isnt leaking. If he cooling system is pressurized, then youve likely blown the head gasket or cracked the head. Other than that, you need to bleed it again. Hell, if you can, just drain the system, put the water hose in the radiator, turn it on, just overfill it it until only water comes out, no bubbles nor coolant, then start the engine and see where the temp is. If it still overheats, youve probably blown the headgasket because the waterpump can only fault in so many to make the engine overheat.

Take off the belt and fan. Feel the water pump. Spin it a few times, try to see if theres any play.

If your thermostat and water pump have not been changed for a while you might want to just change them out. Not too costly and not difficult. Then if it still overheats start to look at the head/headgasket. If it is a HG then you will want to change the thermostat and waterpump anyway.

i just bought my car less than a week ago...i picked it up...drove it home (hour and a half drive) and the temp. gauge stayed in the middle. Parked the car for about 3 days and i came to turn it on the third day and within 12 minutes the car overheated ALMOST hit the red and the car was idling, i didn't drive it yet. did like everyone said on here...bled the radiator kept filling it and filling it with coolant till nothing but straight coolant came out of bleed screw (even squeeze the radiator hoses while filling it up that also helps take out the air bubbles in your system)....turned the car on...blasted the heat....temp gauge sat in the middle again....
