Sacramento Raceway had a test and tune on Sat so I drove up the M3 and ran it. My best run was a 13.494 @ 104.488 mph with a 2.223 60 ft. I could not get any traction off the line. I am running cheap Pirelli P7000 tires in the rear that are almost at the wear bar. I have full interior, 2 subs in the trunk as well as the spare tire. I wanted to know the real drag time my car can do with all the weight in it. I weighed it at 3340 at the track so about 3500 lbs with me in it.

Your trap is a little low for the power you supposively putting down.

I was shifting at about 6500, I didn't want to break anything, I had to drive it home. I really don't know what I am putting down. I assume it's around 370 rwhp from other peoples similar setup. I could have ran faster if I took out all the interior, spare tire, and subs

Regardless if you if left your interior. You should be around 110-115mph trap with your power level.

Nice, i didnt see any scales there? Must of been a long drive to go there. You only got 3 runs? I, too, had no traction when i ran there. I ran a 13.3 spinning 1st and 2nd w/ 2.0 60ft.

Get better tires, did you warm up the tires or clean them off? What did you launch at? Get rid of some weight and i think you will be able to run faster with a better 60ft time.

He is pretty heavy but i agree, my run was at ~310whp @ 6psi and trapped 106/108mph.

+ 1. I've seen traps as high as 117 with that power level.

I got 6 runs in those were the best times. I really didn't want to break anything so I didnt do too many runs. My shift knob kept on popping off when I shifted into 2nd. I didnt warm up my tires or clean them off. I launched at like 2k trying to feather the clutch but still peeled out off the line

The track is about 120 miles from my house, not too bad. The scales were after the booth in the parking lot.

let me know if youre heading out there again next time , i will go with you. with that power you should trap over 110mph. my buddy had a 4drs e36 with c30 kit he ran 13.2 trap 112 with all stock weight in it

I dont know what my problem was, oh well. It's not a drag race car, just wanted to know what it ran. I should be going up next test and tune. My cousin has a pair of '67 Mustangs, one with a 383 with NOS and the other with a 418 with twin 72mm turbos. He ran the first one no NOS, ran a 10.8 @ 125 mph

There was a '08 335i AT running 11.78 @ 119 mph. All he said he had was the Juice Box 3, slicks, 100 octane, and a gutted interior, I was impressed

Props.... to you for going out! But, i am at 353rwhp and have trap 88 in the 1/8 mile (1/4 mile track is like 3 hours away), so I don't think that you are at 370whp.

Me and you both need to put our cars on a diet because my car weighed in about exactly the same! But, I have a complete custom audio setup, spare, and other things.

My last dyno was around 330 rwhp but I was running super rich. The AFRs dipped below the graph at 3k and came back up on the graph at around 6.5k. Karl @ Active leaned it up a lot but I haven't been to the dyno since

The guy GUTTED the interior of his 08 335?
I am nuts , and I wouldn't do that to mine...to save what 1/10th of a second?

next time push it harder with some decent tires. you should be some where in the 12's with your mods all day.

Your whole time is really bad. I ran 13.4@104 N/A stock motor + shrick cams + TRM tune and bolt on's at 250whp with a 1.96 60ft at 3220lbs.

Your could without a doubt probably get 12.5-12.9@108 ish how you stand but I doubt your power level is 370whp, even at that weight. Are you at high elevation? It seems like your running the times of a car with 305-320whp, just with a bad start and trap because of the weight

I was surprised too. He drove up all the way from LA, almost 400 miles he said

I need to get some better tires, warm them up, and run it again. Google says Sacramento's elevation is 25ft so that wasn't a problem. I know I have more than 320 whp. I will just have to dyno it to find out.

yeah those times are for a car around 300rwhp. My car weights 4575lbs a 90 shot of nitrous only(before i up the nitrous and now with a turbo) I ran the 1/8 60ft 2.1, 1/8 mile was like 9.125 trap was like 75-79mph(not sure exactly but i think i still have the time slip.
The next time you go back to the track. Don't worry about nothing but working on your 60ft because that's where it's all at. ON a M3 you should easily get 1.8-2.0 60ft. Try launching at different RPMs. I start at 3200, 4000, 4200, 4500, 5000, 5500, 6000, ect... I guarantee you will probably be best launch a 4500rpms with that power or maybe just a little less. Seriously your frist three runs at the track should only be focus on 60ft and just coast the rest of the way. On the third time just shift out smoothly until the end but don't try to break anything. Once you have that down pack your 4th run should be all out. Practice makes perfect

that 335 was most likely this guy: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=250535
he ran 11.8@120.9mph with just software, DRs, race gas, and a bit of weight reduction

you should definitely be running better than my car, especially at sacramento!

Sounds like this was his first time. Im sure with some more practice he could do a lot better. It was definately different when i went for my first time, im sure ill do better next time, plus ill have a new clutch in there too.

Good job for going out there man. :)

It was my 2nd time at the track, first time with this car. I need to practice launching and get some new tires. That will help my 60ft, which will help my times

I'd be more concerned with the trap speeds. ET can fluctuate a lot, but trap speed generally stays pretty consistent and that is a low trap speed for your car.
