I need to change my tires next week. I am tempted to go with the GY cause they are 40% cheaper. Based on your experience, does Michelin worth the price difference? Also, someone told me to go with a hi load capacity with the GY (94 instead of standard 91) because they have a softer sidewall than the Michelin, what do you think? Will I loose too much comfort?
Thanks.

You want a stiffer side wall to keep the car going straight and true over uneven roads... basically the stiffer the sidewall the less tramlining (where the car will go with the grooves in the road and not straight). I say Go with the pilot sports or the PS2's. They are amazingly grippy true tires. worth every penny.. I go with the Pilot sports because I like the tread design and the driving characteristics. PS2 are just super grippy and I like to get a little tail happy sometimes.

Thanks Project330i. With the tires I have on it now, the car is tramlining a lot. It is fitted with Khumo spt 225/40ZR18 front and 245/35ZR18 rear. I might buy the PS2. I am sure that they are superior. I am just fighting to convince myself to spend the extra bucks (93$ more per tire !!). Also, I think that the GY are more comfortable than the PS2 which is an important characteristic for me. However, I don't like tramlining...

With what you've mentioned... you will be extremely satisfied with every aspect of the PS2 exept for the longevity of the tire. Expect to replace after 30k max... 15-25k will show signs of exceptional wear. But tramlining will be almost gone (with a good alignment) and confort will be really good (low noise)... grip is amazing. Worth the extra loot.
