3 rims = 18 X 8; one rim = 18 X 9.
<hr style="color: rgb(207, 207, 207); background-color: rgb(207, 207, 207);" size="1"> <!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message --> I have an extra set of rims that I want to put on an 06 530i. Tires (http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AB2&url=index.jsp) are all 245-40-18. Just noticed that one rear wheel is 18 X 9; the other three are 18 X 8.

Any significant problems using that single wider rim (9") when 3 others are 8"?) All tires (http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AB2&url=index.jsp) will be 245-40-18.

Not a good idea. Find another 8, or another 9". That one weird rim will mess lots of stuff up. Dont do it

Would these happen to be style 5? If it's a 2 piece wheel you can put an 8" rim on a center that says 18x9 on it or vice versa, so maybe they aren't actually different.

Since you're gonna run the same tires all around and 245 is ok with both rim widths I'm gonna go against the grain and say it would probably be okay, still extremely ghetto though and no reason to do it unless your current wheels are dangerous and you have no money. What are the wheels, e46 m3 stock 18's? Whatever they are all u need is a single in either size to make a legit set, and sell the oddball
