I bought Vredestein ultrac sessanta size 295 30 zr 19 for my 06 m3 First they came in two weeks late then one came a week before another. But the reall problem is that the size is not 295 like it says on the tire they are about 275. I called them and told them that the 295 match my 275 they are not as wide!!! I compared it to my other 295 tires the VERDESTINE is two inchs smaller. The company said thats just how they are made. The tire it self looks good online but in real life looks like honda tires. DONT BUY GUYS THEY ARE CRAP:nono
Trust me i had more then one BMW and more then 10 different tires makes for all of my BMWS, by far these are the worst looking on the car.
This tire is all over ebay. The company that sells it is called BONES ENT.

I did reseach just no one had any information on it. i took a risk. Thats the problem. I just wanted to warn you guys, because there website makes vredestine tires sound like the best tires in the world. They photo shopped the pictures make the tires look super wide and fancy.

ummm, saying something like what mtechnica did is not offensive. Tires are the most important thing you can buy for your car and research is a must. Thats why there are sites like tirerack.com that offer an extensive review system. USE IT or suffer with bad rubber

^I'll bet there is a good reason for that. I was going to get some waffle irons together and start baking my own series of tires for ebay as well. Gunna call them Ultraubberbadasskillers. Sorry op brand names are brand names for a good reason they earned it through R and D and trials. Better luck next time. If you want to stay cheap there are plenty of top of the line tires in great condition floating around a CL...

I thought the tire width and labelling is a set industry standard? How would a 275 be the same width as a 295? Its off by 2cm, almost an inch...

I've always thought that too.

I've seen off brands like Nankangs run almost identical tread patterns as your big name brand tires.
American Classic tires (radial white wall tires) are made in america using Michilen molds- which would be as close to a knock off as one could get.

but the measurements should still be the same tho...and unless OP's using wheels that are made different, should the tires all fit the same?

+1
Nevermind the variance...how do they perform???
if u know anything about tires it's a well known fact that different manufacturers have different widths regardless of the labeled size. Some run narrow, some run wide. If these perform well, I am seriously considering these for my next set of tires to stretch.

This is another case of metric millimeters and standard millimeters
samger2

The section width of a tire is measured from inflated sidewall to sidewall...that's one way that a cheap manufacturer can get by with labeling a tire 295 when in all actuality it's more narrow than that. Look at a Michelin tire...look at how wide the footprint is...notice how squared the shoulders are...notice how the tread extends all the way across the tire.
This is a perfect example of why you pay more for a better tire.

I'd heard of these tires before at some Euro meet... guy swore they were the best bang for the buck. I did some research when I got home and it poked holes in everything he said. Haven't looked back.

I called the company that sold the tires to me i sent them pictures how much smaller there tires are from my old original 295 pirelli tires. The companie said they dont know why there tire is so small they said usually its wider they most name brands out there. Performance i didnt experience yet i just put them on so far they feel really hard not like they are gripping the road. I ordered many tires at 295 never came across a size difference like this. these guys should stick to making bike tires like they did for the past 100years so they say.

Interesting thread. I used these tires for a bit on my Corvette and i didnt think they were all that bad for the price. Not the grippiest best performance tire, but not terrible and theyre pretty quiet. Sidewall isnt as stiff as i wouldve liked.
I didnt have any problems with them being to narrow. Theyre 275s and were eve wider than the tires i had on before. Sounds like you got a mismarked tire or just a screw up in the manufacturing.
For an M3 though you could do much better than these tires.

That is not always true...
Michelin Pilot Sport PS2... great time... Hankook Z212 RS2 - PS2 performance @ 50% off.
There are many 'no name' or 'lower tier' brands that match or sometimes even beat the top guys.

Too bad you didn't buy the Bridgestone RE-01R's when they were 50% at the Rack, then you would have gotten great tires cheap without wondering whether you got a good deal.

Do tell! I am curious to know about these tires.
Pattern is only part of it.... Compound is the rest.
The guy who was selling them to me told me they were maximum performance tires... they weren't, they are Ultra High Performance.
He told me they were wider than most... they weren't, told me he had to use a narrower tire on his Audi because of this.
He told me they had more stick than their Michelin and Bridgestone equivalents which doesn't add up because they are only the in UHP category and not in the MP or EP category.

Some people they work fine for ... but I've heard more negative response than positive response. It could be that bad news spreads like wildfire and good news spreads like molasses.

I'm getting these soon for my e36, I'll post a review once I have them. the car will see a lot of highway miles as well as backroads so I couldnt justify running EXP tires and burning them up in 5-10k miles. If i'm going to track the car, then some serious rubber will be put on.

I cant say anything about performace about these tires i only had them on for a week. track will be next week for me. i will let you know how they do. I just cant understand the width why they are so narrow then my other 295 pirelli tires. the width matches my 275 from Less shwab. 295 Proxys 4's from les shwab are also two inches wider. Honda tires are not usually as wide as EUROPEAN automobiles. Most hondas out there exception for couple are not rear wheel drive. alot of honda guys have a Japaness looking trid (ricers), something that a european car should not have. IS there any one that has these tires???Vredestein ultrac sessanta or any experiance with them? These tires look cute compare to my pirelli tires That look like they just want to tare the road apart. I have to figure out how to post pictures on here i would show you the difference.

Hey man, I don't know whether you drive like my dead grandmother or a bimmer owner, but know this, my X5 xdrive rides on these tires ( to be more specific VREDESTEIN ULTRAC SUV SESSANTA's) larger size of course, and it corners like its on rails, rain & heat!!! Just yesterday I hit an off ramp at about 160 KM, (about 100 mph) not a peep, could of gone fast dude! (if I was on my bike, Rossi would of had a run for his $$$) And in the rain they're just as tight!

Dude you must be crazy ripping this tire and you haven't used it, this is the best tire I have ever hands down, super great handling on wet roads and all around great ride. My rim size is 22 x 9.5j and I order a 245/30/22 which should be a lil to small but it fits perfectly and other tire bands I would have to get a 265 so I don't understand how your tire was so off.
