you have a perfectly good set of 17" wheels waiting to go back on the e34 when the winter wheels come off, but you find a good deal on another set of wheels and tires at the Portland swap meet and buy them too.

Here's a little teaser, see if you can name the wheels:

(hint, they're 17x8.5 et 15)

I mounted them up today and so far so good. I'll post those photos tomorrow.

Crap, I was going to go to the meet but got involved in painting bedrooms and moving furniture instead. That'll learn me.:(

Here's an update. Yes I know the car needs to be lowered, it's the baby hauler and I never seem to have the time, so it's a ways off.

The bonus was a set of good Falken FK452 tires all around, I don't know much about them but they seem to be balanced and hold air. Bonus! The rear tires on my Style 19's were just about at the wear bars, not a good idea in rainy Portland. Anyway here are a few more photos:

I think they're real:

Side view. You can see my "batcave" in the back, the back garage that I'm trying to make functional. It's 25 ft deep into the side of the hill. All I need is a tunnel into the basement of the house, but then there's also a garage that walks right into the basement for easy parts storage and working on projects in the winter.

They fill the rear arches better, but still not all the way:

Another rear shot:

This set of wheels was also for sale for $275, anybody know what they are? I almost picked them up for winter tires as finding snow tires in 225/60R15 is getting tough.

Nope, not yet. I'm leaning towards going with OEM M-Tech springs up front an leaving the back alone as we use it for hauling dirt, trips, etc and I don't want it bottoming out on road trips when fully loaded.
