I have a 98 328is lowered on a Tein Basic coilover suspension with 17" Kosei K1 wheels and 10mm H&R spacers up front. I currently have Goodyear Eagle F1 All-Season 245/40/17 tires. My spare wheel is a 17" Kosei with a 245/40/17 Sumitomo all-season tire.
The Goodyear Eagle tires' rubber surface/structure is "wider" than the Sumitomos. The Goodyears will rub on suspension compression while the Sumi will not. In addition, I have one new Goodyear and three worn Goodyears. The worn Goodyears no longer rub (all rubbed off at the friction points, I guess) but the fresh tire does.
Are any high-quality all-season tires that you can recommend that are a bit less beefy than the Goodyears?
Thanks
