The other day, Friday I believe.. My friend and I were out in the country racing a another local bmw owner. The car was pulling great, performing well as always. On the way home however, my buddy was pushing it and as he went to shift into 5th, he missed it and revved it up in neutral. Now the car is chipped so it went to what I saw as 7k and dropped back down as he found the gear. Anywho.... we all pulled over (the other guy was doing something) I get out and decide to throw some oil in her. I turn off the car and add some synthetic (as always). When I go to start the car again, it doesn't start! Some 10 times later and some starter fluid it finally fires. At this point it will not idle but will run smoothly past 2.5k. I get her home and the next day I get her apart. I took off the intake mani to find the bottom hose had blown off, I re-attached it. I cleaned everything (all the valves etc). After putting everything back on... it will now start and run but has a very rough idle (almost muscle car sounding) Well today, I find that cylinder 6 is not firing. I do the norm, exchange coil packs, plugs etc... Nothing! it still is not firing. I do have a compression tester but its a crappy one (just fits in hole, doesnt screw in) It read 50 psi :mad I think it might just be the tester ( I hope) Anyone have any ideas???? Im lost.
