not necessarily. Unfortunately E34's have reached that pit of value where anyone can buy one because no-one (other than us) wants them. The general public sees them as dated in styling, 15-20 year old tired cars particularly when compared to current BMW designs.
Over the next 5 years many of them will be crashed, abused and crushed. At that point the "survivors" will hopefully regain some nostalgic, enthusiast appeal in the same way as E28's, E30's and E24's. We'll just have to wait.

If this is as represented it is a good value.
Have a PPI done including a leakdown test to be sure.

Definately not a coupe! It has four doors... unless I am missing something. Still, $2K in Southern California for a 540i is still pretty low - especially under 200K on the odometer.
Maybe a Salvage title? Then again, I paid $1500 for a 94 530iT with 160K on it.

Further proof that people are stupid, they pass on a great car because it looks dated. I'll admit, I wasn't looking for an e34 when I was hunting for a car but came across one dropped on 18's and fell in love. I've got 2 now and get complements all the time, people are really blown away when I tell them its a 94 and even more blown away when I tell them what I paid for it.
