I found a really good price e30 convertable that i am thinking about doing a 24v swap to. The only thing is i would need the engine/trsnny out of my e36. The only way my parents would let me go for this(i say this becasue i still live with them since i am goging to college) is if i could sell my current car's shell.

I have coilovers, m3 exterior stuff, all sorts of mods. What do you guys think i could sell basically a full car minus engine and tranny? Is there interest for something just like this? Really the only way i could go for this project is if i were to be able to sell what would be at that point a complete rolling chasis.

thanks for input

i just bought a 92 e36 shell for 250 dollars all it was missing was motor tranny radiator/mount and the seats and door panels. i got door panels and seats for 200 bucks in medium poor shape. so id say don't take any less than 500 dollars if the car is complete and in decent condition.

btw im from ohio and i got it from an urban area.

and why are you swapping? too slow? sell your motor and tranny and buy an m50 vanos to drop in the e36 or maybe even an m52;)

I would be swapping the engine into an e30 325i convertable. I love e30's and have wanted to do a 24v swap for a ong time. After i posted this i was thinking to myself why would i do this when my car is actually worth something as is and i could use the proceeds to buy an s52/54 and tranny...
