I'm trying to get my power seats out of my wrecked 94 325i but the motor/trans/harness have been removed and there is no power to the seats even though the battery is still hooked up and fully charged.

Now obviously, I am no electrical genius but I was contemplating attaching the battery posts to the front power distribution box since that is where the power seat is hooked up to according to a wiring diagram I looked at for an E36.

Anyone see any problems with this?

Well, it worked. Did this over the weekend. Hooked up the positive terminal of a fully charged battery to the front power distribution box bolt sticking up out of the box and the negative to a ground on the car. The seat powered right up and I was able to remove it without problem.
