im getting ready to order some for my 01 gs300. i want the have the bluish white clean look. the guy at ddm told me to use 35w 6ks (for my lows), and said that if i went with 55w, that it would "wash" out the bluish color..

i thought everyone uses 55ws in their heads and 35ws in their fogs for that equal appearance..

opinions please so i dont order the wrong thing.

thanx in advance

also, in my e36 i cant remember what k or what i have but they look perfect.. any way to tell? (i.e.-code on the bulb, etc.)

I've dealt with HID for a while now... so here is what I'd recommend:
Only go with 35watt HIDs.. as 55watts can and probably will melt your harness and the headlight housing. (55watt are meant for off road systems)

That being said, if you want a while blue-ish look, then go for the 35w 6000K HID system.
If you plan on getting a set for the low beams and fog lights, make sure both kits are from the same brand as different 6000k HID kits from different companies vary in color a little bit.

Good luck.

P.S.
Don't get HIDs for your high beams, it's pointless. just sayin...

I have 50 watt Prolumens in my lows (6k) and the color is not washed too washed out. They are actually almost too blue for my taste.
