I actually won the car from a design contest promoted by MSN/Chrysler.
I posted the full story HERE (http://jonsibal.com/blog/2009/01/got-me-a-hemi/).
I already dropped it with H&R Coil Overs and swapped the exhaust with Zoomers cat-back.
I do have other stuff planned for it. Just need some money LOL

LOL. People can't resist flames and TA! Haha Are you planning on keeping the flames for a while so not to offend the people who gave you the car? I wouldn't.. haha
It's funny how everyone hates the flames but that is the reason he won the car. Ironic

Why cant i win expensive cars...... I definatly dont like the paint but i do like the fact that its lowered. I was hoping when i saw the title that it was going to be a new project bmw :( Got me excited for nothing. But in the end if it was given to me id drive it :)

I understand why alot of you guys don't like the flames. Its a muscle car thing.
With the True Fire Flame job being one of the new popular painting techniques It doesn't surprise me you chose that.
I agree with the ones who said the flames seem out of place.
I don't know exactly why the placement seems off, but it does.
Im sure it looks awesome in person Jon.
The H&R's made a huge difference.
Congratulations on the win. You deserve it!

i hate flames and challengers... if you look at them in person the side has no body lines
its like a 10 yr old girl
? The side has a big crease that runs down the middle and kicks up over the rear wheels, splitting the body side neatly in half while giving muscular haunches. Looks like a smooth custom version of the original.
I don't mind the flames, but I'm an old school hot rodder and musclecar owner to begin with.
It's starting to get diasspointing to realize just how many young enthusiasts define themselves by what they hate and what they don't want to learn about and appreciate.

It's starting to get diasspointing to realize just how many young enthusiasts define themselves by what they hate and what they don't want to learn about and appreciate. ...i don't see many enthusiasts in this thread, personally. i see a bunch of holier than thou BMW fanboys hating on an american car...
the reason the flames look out of place or whatever is b/c they don't surround the entire front of the car. if there wasn't a huge gap between the small part in the center of the hood, and the flames on the side it'd look 10000000x better. also, the flames on the roof just make it look like someone was trying to hard. and if they continue on to the trunk they should be gone as well. lose the time attack, as well...and to the people saying the flames are ugly, lol at you. those look amazingly well done.
sweet car! i look forward to what you're gonna do with it, i'd also like to commend you for expanding your horizons to more than one style of car...maybe next you'll do an R34:devillook

Thanks for ALL the feedbacks. Good and bad I appreciate them all.
The true fire paint scheme was done specifically for the contest. It's def a lot bolder and louder than any paint job I have on any of my cars. Selling the car is an option that I've considered but at this time though, I am having fun with it. I got to meet a whole new crowd of people being part of the SoCalChallengers club. You all know I'm a euro guy at heart but it's a great learning experience being part of a whole new scene for me. I hardly paid attention to muscle cars before but now I have so much more appreciation and respects for them.
Not sure how long I'll keep the car but if I end up keeping it, the car will surely evolve from it's current state.

No, flames are a VERY hard thing to do right. That is a fantastic paint job, cool car too.
Dodge had to do something right after DESTROYING the namesake/legacy of the Charger.
Great stance, but domestics HAVE to have huge meats out back to be legit. Go with a 315 in the rear at least. CCW classics would look great.
I'd say go with a WIDE wide 19" wheel to compliment the car's hefty size.

that's what's known as the bf.c syndrome, people with old ass beat e36's and bmw's feel the need to rag on sick new cars, it's quite a deadly ailment. Challenger is an awesome car, and a free one, even fuckin better. Flames aren't exactly my style but who can argue with free?

I know exactly what you mean about the different groups of people. I went from 3000gt's to bmw and even with something like that it was crazy the different people you would meet. IMO keep the car, it was sort of a gift/trophy so i see no sense in selling it. But im still hoping to see another bmw project in the future ;)
