A/C Removal Questions

Mine hasn't worked since I purchased the car. How hard is it to just remove it and leave it off? Will it cause any problems with my heating system?

Thanks. I removed my fan today so I guess it the A/C tomorrow.

Ok I got everything out except for the condensor between the fan and radiator. Can this be removed without messing up the mounting for the fan?
