Well, c'mon, if he'd said "E36s" for sale, you'd say, sorry sir, there's no such model, did you mean IS?

An E36 for 3K is unlikely unless you're talking a 318 sedan with a kajillion miles and a salvage title.

KBB is not a good indicator of a market price for a BMW.
