I have a rattling sound (like a buzzing, or like your rear window/trunk sounds like if you had a big subs blaring). This happens when accelerating in low rpms, shifting, just cruising on a non-bumpy road. But when in neutral, this noise is not apparent.

My suspected causes are guibo, differential, some drive shaft component.

Some things I rule out but might still be are rear strut mounts, subframe stressing.

What are your thoughts on this? Btw, this isn't on my top priorities to fix because it doesn't currently render the cars driving ability, but I would like to make this noise go away before it turns into something.

Sounds like harmonics, loose or hole in exhaust?

Never thought of exhaust, maybe thats it? I will have to test it out again tomorrow to make sure I make note of what causes and what doesn't, I can't remember off hand. Been living with it for a while now.

Also note, it almost sounds like my rear window is loose and vibrates and buzzes, but I am sure the window is secure.

Here is a link to a thread about this, but no one on 3 pages found an answer to it.
