Im going through a trans fluid change today on my 02 540IA. I wanted to do a full exchange of fluid. I want to disconnect the hose going to the remote cooler but i cant get the "Quick-Disconnect" line off!!! Am i stupid or should this thing just pop off by pushing down on the metal part of the hose (towards cooler) and pulling up on the plastic ring at the end of the hose??? I saw other people have no issues doing it as no one really goes into detail on how to take it off but is killing me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks all.

tidy it back up and go to a trans shop so they can tell you if you need a new hose or connector because if you break something and cant fix it you will be paying for a tow

Im not just going to drive to it a bimmer shop so they can charge me a ton of money to do the work. I know folks have done it on this board as they talk about it but not the exact procedure to loosen it. WD40 doesnt seem to work. but i dont think im trying to take is off correctly. Can anyone else provide advise?
