How can i make my exhaust sound stock again?

Ok so I drive a '93 318i and the previous owner of my car put a loud ass exhaust on it. I dono if its the whole exhaust or just the can, but i think its just the can. I'm tired of being super loud, and super slow. got damn I just wanna cruise in peace. I'm wondering if i can just swap out the can for a stock one and have it quiet again??

and if this is the case, anyone have a stock can they wanna sell me?

Yes, just replace the aftermarket exhaust with an OEM catback.
Check the classifieds on the forum, or craigslist.org and you should find one.
