Recently i purchased a E39 for a fairly cheap price... after using it for over 3 months some gemilins appeared and threw some faults that i have no clue what so ever on how to correct them.

1. D7 - “PreCat oxygen sensor slow response, Cyl #5-8”
2. BF - “Ignition output stage, Cyl #6”
3. 88 - Idle speed controller
4. 84 - DSC message timeout
5. C7 - “Misfire, Cyl #4”

The car is in exceptional shape but i wonder if the looks deceived my eyes!

please HELP:eyecrazy

I have a question...Where do you see these? I'm still trying to learn about these cars and I don't know where people get these codes from?

You need a code reader/scanner tool...

Here's a pic of my peake scan tool plugged into the OBDII port under the hood.

You can also go to AutoZone or a few other auto parts stores and they will scan the codes for free, except in California where the mechanics' lobbying group made free scanning illegal, so now we have to pay ~$35+ for it.
