Just picked up a '92 E36 and am loving it!!!
Driving it home though, the wipers suddenly went on for 3-4 minutes.. I tried moving the stalk throughout the different speeds and it changed the speed but when I put it back to the "off" position, they continued to wipe the windshield. This ended just as randomly as it started.
Now that I got the car home, the wipers always seem to be on whenever I turn on the car. They change speed if I move the stalk, but keeping it at "off" doesn't shut them off.
I did a search and came up with either the windshield wiper motor or the relay itself.
If it's the motor, do I need to replace it or can I just clean contacts? I heard dirty contacts may cause this?
Where is the wiper relay on the 92s?
Thanks in advance!!!
