Schroth Rallye belts

Anyone ever install Schroth Rallye 4 belts in a Mini? Not the Quick Fit; they won't fit new Minis.

And while I’m asking: anyone aware of the rules for BMW CCA events for 4 point restraints in cars without rollbars? Some folks have been required to refrain from using the clip-in four point restraints or the ones that mount to existing seatbelt mounts. The reasoning is that without a rollcage you won’t be able to duck when you turtle your car, thus crushing you in your seat.

I would not suggest using those in a new MINI. Get the quick-fits and do a little shaving off of the plastic around the buckle and it will work fine. Schroth is in the process of certifying the belts for use in the new MINI's so they "should" be available soon.

As to the use, that is up to each track day sponsor/club. If they have been told by there insurance carrier not to allow them, you are out of luck. But they do come out easy enough........

I have been lucky enough to go to track days with clubs that have no problem letting me use my quick-fit belts.....and I love them.
