View Full Version : Anyone looking for a mint E30 325ic 5-spd owned, then imported, from Germany?
If so, I almost bought it a couple of days ago. It's for sale at a local (Mpls) VW dealer I've done business with many times and I trust them completely. I've inspected/driven the car and will tell you what I know. I believe it is a 1987. It has 117K actual, is white/black leather sport package, has really nice aftermarket wheels/tires, a slightly firmer suspension, aftermarket rear-section exhaust and, based on the owner's manual, was manufactured (and operated) in Germany before being imported here to the states. I believe this last fact makes the car quite unusual. It runs/drives perfectly and he has dozens of receipts/etc in a thick file-folder (in addition to the owners manual). Zero rust, zero body damage, paint in outstanding condition, ABS light is on, has two miniscule slices (1/4" long each, I'd estimate) on either side of the newer top (from rubbing against the metal framework underneath). That's about it...I've owned more than one of these and it's the nicest one I've seen. If anyone here is interested, call 612-309-7770 and talk to Robert Scala. I believe they're asking for $5500.00, but I'm certain they're negotiable (as they always have been with me). Just trying to help...
A "crappy pictures added" bump.

which dealer? i didnt see it on westside's site. i'm thinking of one of these for this summer. how do they drive?
They have it parked on their "other" lot. It is less than 1/2 mile from the main dealership. They are extremely enjoyable cars to drive. This one is particularly enjoyable not only because of its condition, but because of the wheels/tires on it and the suspension/brake upgrades. I think most people here would agree that the 2.5L engine from E30 325's is among the most durable BMW has produced to date. They are quick little cars as well and, with the sport package, have some of the most amazing seats I've been in. Anyway...if you find you are interested, you'll probably want to call the number I've listed rather quickly. I talked to Bobby yesterday. They will apparently be selling the car to a wholesaler soon and that person will, no doubt, market it for $5995.00. I wouldn't go out on a limb and say precisely what you could buy the car for, but i will say that somewhere in the $4's isn't unlikely at all.

i am picking up a new2me 2001 530i sport in south minneapolis today. maybe i can drive the 325 beforehand. i've been thinking it woudl be nice to have cheap little convert that i can put 2 car seats in the back of (assuming my 911 cab sells). there is a red/tan 325ic with 95k miles for the same price down southern MN. it also has a 5 speed and appears to be extremely clean.
As you wish...it's not my car, so I've no stake in it. I just know that it's a really cool one w/ some nice adds, a thick maintenance booklet and, with its history, is apparently quite rare. You'll need to call Bobby to see it, though...
