Cricket noise in brakes

At low speeds (10 - 15 mph) I have a "cricket" noise - chirping - in brakes on my '07 335i Coupe. Applying any brake pressure makes it go away. Brakes work OK, but is the noise -
1. Normal ? (I'm new to BMWs)
2 Something that needs attention from dealer?

1. Yes, totally, normal -- but it is addressable.
2. Yes, go see your dealer.

Seems like many owners have the problem - I'm heading to the dealership next week.
