Just consider it a free bump. Oh, and whatever you offer someone within reason... I'll offer a dollar more :)
I wonder if a parts shop would buy our 3.15 diffs? Who usually needs them? I don't even know what cars will fit...

It would be a nice upgrade for a 3 series e36.

Wait, the 3.15 would be a good upgrade for an E36? How? My E36 came with a 3.15, I thought...

I'm talking about the non ///M version e36's. Sorry I didn't think to add that to the original post.

Huh? That's what I'm talking about, too...
The non M E36 had a 3.15, correct? So, which car were you talking about when you said the 3.15 would be a nice upgrade?

Quoting Croak from another thread...
3.15 on all 92-95 325's, most were open, a very few were equipped with an optional 3.15 LSD, mostly on Sport package cars, but not even all of them came with the LSD.
And before you ask, the "s" in "is" doesn't stand for Sport. You can pretty easily ID a Sport package car by the seats with adjustable thigh bolsters.
Best way to tell if you have a LSD is to get both rear wheels off the ground, then spin one by hand. If it's an open diff, the other wheel won't spin, if it's a limited slip, the other wheel will turn with the wheel you're spinning.
All 96+ 328's and 323's came with 2.93 open diff. LSD was not an option. 3.15 LSD is a VERY good upgrade for a 328/323, almost as good as going from a 3.15 to a 3.38 is for a 325/M3.
Hope that helps.
