Tis quite simple.

UUC or Lowrise LTW? I just wanna see what people prefer, I'm kind of leaning towards UUC. Your opinion probably won't sway me, just wanted to know what the forum thinks.

UUC

I'm actually stuck in the same dilemma right now. I'm leaning towards the LTW right now though, unless some miraculous pictures surface that change my mind
Edit: Your cars clean the way it is, and I wouldn't bother w/ either just leave the lip on there. Unless you're planning some track time and you'll need it

I'm partial to the trunk lip (but that's what I have and I love the thing..).

IF I was forced to choose between those two though.... UUC. :D

I like what you have but like the UUC too. I've been wanting to do the UUC with just the flap left carbon fiber and get carbon fiber splitters to tie together the front and the back.

BTW is the lip you have now from an E46 or E39?

I am a HUGE fan of just the trunk lip and quite honestly want to ditch my factory high arch to do just the lip.
But since you asked which of the two, I would 100% go with the UUC.

Neither. Car has the classy, understated look going (contours, slats, OEMish, etc.) which the trunk lip is perfect for.

Both those wings are more purposeful, race wings. I feel like they would stick out like a sore thumb on your car as is.

RADI0ACTIV3M4N
02-19-2009, 11:52 AM
Actually at second glance, save your money and de-chrome your contours. It will be cheaper than a wing like 250 dechromed and then powder coated black or silver or whatever. It will make your car look 100x better than with a wing.

If you get a LTW, a high-rise with removable risers no less, it may accidentally go missing one night :shifty

Vahe I know the one your talking about, I love that one but it costs 350 bucks. The UUC rep in CF is under 200. I don't know yet, I have to see one in person again to decide.

I heard you could sand down the mounts so it sits flush.

Rose City
02-19-2009, 05:45 PM
Neither. And I was about to say that if you like the UUC its a bitch to get it to sit flush, but you seem aware.

Either way don't do it. If the car doesn't really see much track time it just looks silly and blocks your rearview.

Dude its totally worth it, it will transform the entire rear of your car. Id do it, there is a guy in glendale who has one, its a yellow e36 M, he parks on Ruberta above Glenoaks, lol. how about this, its Hamman

I don't think the UUC would fit well with your current set up for some reason... I think would could pull off the low rise though!

02-19-2009, 10:49 PM
Somebody needs to make a lowrise LTW with a carbon fiber flap. The UUC doesn't look like it sits right, the only nice thing about it is the CF flap. I prefer a CF lowrise w/ partially unpainted on the top or the lip you have now.

WickkedM3

I say keep the lip, I've never liked "wing" type spoilers, which is why I went with the ACS. If you like the wing style, I'd go with a a factory "high arch" wing. Its passable.
