Return of the Damned

As most of you know, my car met an unfortunate demise.
Two days after the accident, I picked up the cleanest car I could find, knowing it had to be something that would be something not many had seen.
Every night over the past two weeks I've been slaving over getting the car to what I'd call "presentable", which included rebuilding and modifying coilovers from the e28, replacement parts, etc.
Here's "The Replacement".

It's not done by any means. She's only two weeks in and has a lot to go. I plan on new wheels, bigger spacers, and lots of other things here and there.
It's already pretty damn low- lower than the e28 was... the larger arches really throw it off, but if you look at the undercarriage in the pics where it's visible, it's about an inch off the ground.
I want to lift the motor and lower it just a liiiiittttlllee bit more. :)

I suspect the dash was recalled, as many were since they buckled due to the leather and warping.
Save the autotragic comments- I dont need a stick to prove I have one, and I also have all of the parts needed to swap to a 5-speed. And I would never pass up buying a clean car due to it's transmission. ;) I'm in no rush.

L6 was the Lux version, lots of leather bits added... headliner, door cards, dash etc. In the states it was only released with an auto tranny,... over seas it was released as the 635csi highline..or highlife or something like that...and manual was an option.

A few of my thoughts on it though since this thread would be too boring if all that was in it was "nice car" ;)

The pinstripe goes nicely with this set of wheels and interior, make sure to leave it. (Plus I had one on my old 325 and if its paint it is a PITA to remove)

The chrome accents all over the car go awesome with the polished lips on the wheels which could use polished centercaps, I may be biased on the wheels though.

The front could come down just a bit, it sucks the engine/undertray sits so low compared to the body. Raising the engine should help :).

The rear could use a bigger spacer IMO, the front offset looks perfect.

I think the spoiler could go either way, the rear may look a bit narrow without it, its hard to say, probably too much trouble if its drilled into the trunk to bother with it.

Car looks very clean, I can't wait to see what you do to it you haven't already said, because you've already listed about everything I can think of. I wish my damn porsche was that low :(. I'm looking forward to more pics!

I just want to comment/rant about one thing: what is this "stance" business? I am tired of seeing the word in every other post. I know what it means but it's overused... like all the other faddish terms in R&S that die just as spontaneously as they originally emerged as "cool" to use. There are other ways to state the same thing--more original and less vexing because they aren't in every poster's hourly vernacular. How about "I like how it sits," "it's really aggressive," etc.
