Are these events setup to where anyone can participate? Like an auto-x atmosphere? Dumb question but there's nothing like this in my area and I have been wondering where/how people are participating in drift events.

This one was open to whoever as long as they paid. Closed course and there are rules in place.

Very similar to auto-x atmosphere. Someone has to run some type of event like this in your area. You can give rides or get one of the actual 'pros' there to ride along and give pointers. It is a learning environment first and also a 'test and tune' of sorts for the guys that compete.
