Time for a new set of tires. What are you riding on and why do you like them? I'm looking for performance first (cornering), dry grip, wet grip and then quiet. Thanks!

I also have a 2000 M Roadster, I live in southern california and drive the car on "sunny sundays". I had Continentals on the car when I bought it and did not care for the handling. Even tho they had lots of tread I decided to replace them, cost not a factor, wanting the best dry performance street tire (cold weather and wet not an issue for me) available, without going to R compound.
I settled on Michelin PS2's 225/45/17 front, 255/40/17 rear, I could not be happier. They stick very well, have a nice progressive feel at the limit, are quiet and ride well. To be completely honest, I installed a TCKline single adjustable coilover set up around the same time and sometime later went with HRE comp 70 wheels that are significantly lighter than stock and 1/2 wider, 8'' front, 9 1/2'' back.
In my opinion, if you dont mind the cost, the PS2's are hard to beat. I know that RonSoCal who is on this board loves the Goodyears he got - and they are reputed to be a bit better in the wet.
If you go to the Z3 section E36/7 and E36/8 and search, there are lots of threads about tires.
