Dinan Chip Questions

Hey all, thinking about chipping my 530 with a dinan chip to put the hp on my car up to 238 considering the 530s are kinda underpowered in my opinion. Anyway, I was wondering, I've heard stories of engine pinging and other problems like wearing the engine out because it's just a lot more strain on it. Are these true?

It will explode if you use a Dinan chip.





OK, I'll just say it before everyone else - this has been covered a bunch, search.

And M60's have knock sensors - if they are working right and you are using the right fuel it should not cause pinging.

From what i've read on these forums these chips have had no problems. Unless im majorly wrong...

Dinan chips are considered very mild. I had one and was not impressed. Get an EAT or TMS chip.
