You will need a small spacer in the front. I'm running the same setup with 255/35/18's all around with a 10mm spacer in the front. I was on h&r oe sport springs with stock fenders(no fender roll) and had absolutely no rubbing.

Sometimes you may need to roll the fender lips as well. If I can help let me know.

Agreed, depending on which tire you run.

I had slight rubbing over large bumps after adding 5mm spacers to the rear. Goes to show there wasn't much room to spare. Fender rolling is a simple and painless process tho, so don't be afraid to max out your wheel/tire widths.

Hi Guys,

I have a similar issue. I just bought a 1997 E36 M3. All the tires are bald. So I am locking for tires. I have the stock 17x7 in front and 17x8.5 in rear. Can I go with 255's in the rear? And what is the largest can I go with in the front?

Thanks

You can go with the 225/45R17 front and the 255/40R17 rear.
If I can help just let me know.

Thanks Jim!!

What do you think about the Sumitomo HTR Z III Blackwall (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Sumitomo&tireModel=HTR+Z+III&partnum=54YR7HTRZ3&i1_Qty=2)tires? Do you recommend any other tires. I plan today some HPDE tracking and also daily driving.

Thanks
