Engine miss

Help:
I have a 1994 540i with check engine light on and a constant engine skip. I checked the codes and the only one I get is 1213, I can't seem to find this code listed but have read the codes several times and this is what it is. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, in reading these forums, I see some references to oil on the plug boots. Is this a serious enough situation to cause a skip?

According to bmw34.net code 1213 is Lambda Control 2. The Bentley Manual says it's Oxygen sensor #2 lean/rich control stop. It then tells you to check reason for rich mixture. Hope it helps

Thanks for the reply.
Subsequently I did find the explanation for that code. I also found the intake to be leaking and have it apart now. The injectors look pretty crappy too. I'll try n clean them up and repl the int gasket and keep my fingers crossed. I'll probably replace the Valve cover gaskets too as they are leaking a bit.
