Half of Car getting Heat

Any help appreciated!, I got a 1994 318i with only the driver's side getting heat, the climate controls for driver side work. Passenger side only blows cold air, cannot get any hot air. Driver's side only receives hot air. Thanks.

You need a new heater valve.

Thanks a ton charlie, two quick questions for anyone...

#1 Get the heater valve on Ebay? I check it out on there and 60 looked better than 300 new......or should i get a new one?

#2 Is there and accessory parts/tools involved in the removal/installation I should purchase before embarking? I do not have a repair manual yet....

Could try cleaning it first

thanks paniolo, I read that article right after posingn my reply earlier, went to my garage and cleaned the Heater Valve out, works like a charm! One of the pins was seized up, all good now.

Cool, glad to hear it worked! I bookmarked that this fall when my heat seemed bad, but then it started working OK so I haven't done it yet.
