For an e36 coupe will there be any spacers needed if 17x8 or 17x9 are all around the car? (I'm guessing the front maybe for 17x9)?

Also the what would the tire sizes be? 235/45 for 17x8 and what for 17x9?

One last thing, what would be the recommended offset?

Thanks

For 17x9's run 255's all around.

you'll need 10mm spacer up front most likely to clear the strut tube. no spacer in the rear at all.

it sort of depends really because some coilover kits get more in the way then others, and stock acts differently as well.

235/40 is square on the 17x8

Id go either 245 or 255/40 on the 9's.

^ Sexay rims. Which are they?

Ok I shall remember to get some 10mm spacers upfront

Any other helpful suggestions before I dish out my $$?

what suspension are your running? 255/40/17 on 17x9 doesn't just bolt right up, as there is some fender rolling and camber involved in making that fit.

Are you willing to roll fenders? If not that will dictate tire size.

those are BBS RC's they aren't available anymore but there's a comparable wheel coming out http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1161972 I only showed them so that you could see that anything more then a 235 on an 8" rim would start ballooning.

I don't have my coils yet so I cannot tell you, however I do not wish to roll my fenders. So I should stick to 17x8 or 8.5 max in the front then?

There are a lot of variables to consider. Offset is one, suspension another, tire brand and size. I run a 17x9 et 35 with 235/40 nankang (read cheapest) with 10 mm of spacers, lowered so as to have no gap, no rolling of fender in front. 17x9 et 35, same tire, with slight rolling, in back. FK coil overs all round.
