Why did you buy new control arms? Were yours bent? or did one of the ball joints fail? Putting on new control arms will not net any performance gains if your stock ones are ok.
Not much to see, they don't change anything. They look just the same as stock ones, just without dirt.
If you want better performance in that area, replace your control arm bushings.

I have nothing negative to say about Meyle HD. I don't know if they really are 'HD' but who knows. My track car only gets Lemfoerder because well... It actually may be of higher quality.
On my DD and just drive around cars I will run Meyle or Karlyn or whatever no problem. None of them have failed yet.

I used them. They were very high quality, installed easily, the fit was perfect. 18 Months later, they are performing well. The only diffrerence between the OE and The Meyle was the nut on the inner ball joint was a diffrent size. So, take a look at that when you lay out your tools.
The OE was the Lemforder (SP) style, that has the rubber insolator. The Meyle is all metal, so you do not have that. But, that is the weak point in the OE part.

cool, anyway to answer one of your questions (i forget who), i did buy the Meyle bushings as well. it all came in a kit. the control arm, ball joints, bushings, and brackets. i know for a fact that my ball joints were gone, and my bushings were gone. so my auto teacher told me to get EVERYTHING at once so i dont need to replace anything there later. it made sense to me, so i went and got the whole kit for $300 which was a reasonable price in my opinion.

i got a set of meyle control arms since my outter ball joint failed. it was a easy install except one of the ball joints didnt come out easy. i also upgraded the bushing with something a little stiffer from bavauto.com... now the car handles a bit better

I had them on my '92 and they worked great. Bought them because my control arm ball joins worn blown. They have oversized ball joints. Also installed polyurethane bushing....definite improvement over stock.

but its actually noticable right? and on your old setup with bad ball joints, did it make noise when made turns? Mine gets real annoying when i make turns and it starts rubbing against the housing. just let me know. thx
