not considered an upcoming collectable? My roundel magazine didn't mention it at all. E30 m3, and e28 m5 were tho. Is it because its not the first m5 made? I figured with the whole, "last hand built m cars" they'd be valuable...

I think that they are referring to classic BMW's. The e28 has just become considered classic in the last few years.
Our time will come.

It's big, heavy, and not a 'landmark' car like the E30 M3 or the E28 M5. It's also not old enough

my guess is that they were produced in greater numbers than teh E28 and E30 Ms. this was mentioned in that article that someone just posted. they are not as rare. give it time though. they are definately a classic car and will become collectable in the not too distant future

In other words - if you can spare the cash, NOW is the perfect time to buy.

well those were all listed for the next ten years, if i remember correctly. I just always thought of the e34 m5 to be very desirable...

The z8 is a sexy car that will always be a collectible because of the really small production run of them. So far as the z4m and the e31 go, how much you want to bet the author has one or both of them for sale?

Of course the 850CSi is gonna be on there. They were they ONLY 8-Series ever. It's not like the 6-Series whilst they are collectable, the line still continues...

well the 850csi is pretty damn rare. and they go for like 50k right now...
z8 interior is my favorite BMW interior, hands down.
well the e31 interior is up there too!

BMW made quite a few of them and that, along with them being more of a sleeper in the looks department (my opinion), will contribute to them not being classics right off the bat.
Given a few more years, I think they will start to have a resurgence somewhat like E30 M3s did over the past 10 years.
