So I'm currently doing a replacement on the above items and ran in a snag. After pulling and smashing the old water pump/ fan pulley/ fan clutch no luck on getting the set apart. I removed it in a different way, instead of taking the fan off first... I took the belt off, thermostat housing, then thermostat and water pump out. So, I just pulled the fan off w/ the water pump... now I'm stuck as is, I've already put every else back together other than the fan and I really need to get this fixed before Wednesday. I'll post pics in a minute. The old water pump (still on) can be trashed, so it doesn't matter if your method destroys that... but the pulley and clutch I need as they are expensive replacements. Any tips, tricks, or help is greeted appreciatively!

Get thin piece of steal like pictured on the left below. Make two holes for two bolts on the pulley. That will hold the pump from spinning. Then using a 32mm wrench, wack the wrench with a hammer clock wise until it comes loose.

For myself I just made a tool (like russiankid) to secure on two of the pulley screws and hold that as you have a wrench on the big nut for the fan clutch and pop it off. Then take the pulley screws off and then your done. Easiest method is to take it off while on the car but you'll get it off.

Thanks I'll try and make that tool, I been using a lawnmower blade piece with the right sizes but I haven't been able to cut it.

If you don't have metal to make the tool, smash the pastic impeller off the water pump. Put the end of the shaft in a vise, crank it shut and use the 32mm wrench to take off the fan. FYI the fan nut threads are left handed (lefty tighty/righty loosy) it is easy to forget about that part.

Yes my Bentley told me about the left hand thread and I finally got it out by just using that lawnmower piece! so now I can breathe easier. Thanks for input!
