It kinda looks like the Bavauto ///M difuser for a non-M bumper.

I had one that was similar before putting a real M bumper on it. The fit should be fine, but the plastic is incredibly thin. After about 6 months the plastic started to oxidize. I had to use Back to Black after washes to keep it looking good. I think it was road salt that caused the oxidation.

Edit: If I had to do it over I would still purchase it. It was cheap, and overall looked good.

I've had one on my car since around June of last year. It definatley looks better than the plain old one.

motorwerks is right, its really really thin. I've actually been expecting it to shatter due to the -30 degree temperatures lately but its held up just fine. Mine has no signs of oxidaiton and is still as black as it was the day I bought it.

I'd recommend it

I have the same diffuser. My g/f bought me one for x-mas. It was very easy to install. 2 screws and it clips into the bumper. Ive only had mine for a month now but it has held up great. It also looks way awesome!

If you cant afford a real M3 Rear bumper, this is as close as you will get in the cheap side ;)

I think it's a waste of money, if you want the M diffuser do it right and buy the whole bumper.

I have the actual one from Bavauto, and yes from the pic it looks like they one on eBay might be the same, if not incredibly close.

Yes, it is a little on the thin side, but mine has held up well. As far as the black fading/oxidizing..... it is meant to be painted. If you paint it, you won't have this issue, and a few generous coats of paint give it a little more thickness. If you can't afford to have it painted, at least go to towerpaint.com and get rattle cans of your base color and some good clear coat.

Hey Double,

Did you have it painted by the shop or yourself?

Fitment 9.5/10
Look 10/10

Why not a 10/10? Well the plastic down inside the valleys is a little thin. One of mine was SLIGHTLY pushed in. I simply pushed it back. Can't tell at all.

Also you CAN reuse the little push clips on the outside. I hate those things. I used 2 zip ties on each size and made the hole a little bit bigger.

Just installed today :)

Uh, to be honest I had no idea it was meant to be painted. I just took it out of the box and installed it. Its still very, very black. No complaints about it being unpainted. I'll try and take a picture tomorrow if the car doesnt get to dirty on the roads.

It's a fantastic, subtle mod that everybody seems to think looks good.

ebay replica m3 diffusers FTW

EDIT: one thing I forgot to mention is that I had to do some minor trimming of it. I've got the exhaust from an m3 on my car and the hole for the exhaust was too small. It kept hitting the muffler, so I had to file some of it down

And i bought the one before you, i think that the price is awesome and will make a nice difference one i polish up my ugly exhaust tips.

To the reader it implies that installing the replica is doing something wrong. After an old lady helped to the rear bumper delete mod to my car I used the insurance money to do the M3 upgrade. I'm very pleased with the look, but it would have seemed like a waste had insurance not paid for it.
The cost to benefit of the replica diffuser VS the whole bumper leans very hard toward the replica diffuser. $50-100 vs $400+ for nearly the same look.

I bought one, probably the same company that makes them all. But wasn't off ebay.

Picture would be great. How does it stand to the salt used on our roads? Any discoloration, how long ago did you install it?

I will post a before and after picture when i get it.
