ok i just got my first bmw traded for one of my cars and the old guy gave me a big black puch /book with a bunch of my 97 bmw info and most of all a maintance and oil and service sheet and has the same guys signatures everywere ?? whats that for ?? can i go to dealer ship ans get stuff done to it ?

i have my own shop and can do it my self but whats that all for ?? anything free ?? LOL

I have a blue book but its for my 01 accord, every time i get an oil change or service , the employee or person in charge at the dealership signs it as proof the service was done by the authorized dealer for future reference. <- thats my guess. but they sign it everytime i get an oil change or tune up.

Its just like the diary of your car. everytime something gets done it goes in there. you dont have to do it. and no , nothing free. i wish.

I think he's talking about the book that comes with the car when you purchase it brand new from the dealer, its kept for records.
