So I decided to risk it. Am getting non-run flats for the car. I will buy a can of Continental repair kit for the small puncture that shows itself after being parked for the night.
However, what about a side wall failure or a blow out? I was thinking about getting a suitable donut for the car.
The question is...what is a suitable donut? Does it have to be 18" diameter?
Seriously, apart from the number of bolts needed to hold the thing on the car, what am I looking for?

www.leatherz.com (http://www.leatherz.com) retails a space-saver spare tire (some or all current 3-Series cars need a fitment kit consisting of a spacer and longer lug-bolts). I bought one for my 1-Series.
You'll also need a jack and possibly a lug-wrench, as your car won't have come with those items either. Again, they're available...one-stop-shopping as it were.

Thanks, man. If anyone else reads this and has additional advice, it would be greatly received.
Holy S***. $340 for the 335i. Oh, and out of stock.
Man, I was thinking this was the cheap option!

It's nice to know these things are available but I really don't worry about it too much. We(my family of four)went out to lunch yesterday and I saw(close enough to touch) a Porsche(Mich rfts) and a Lotus(leaving parking space) but I'd bet rfts as well.
I see so many lo-pro wearing bimmers, vettes 7 porsches that rfts can't be that bad.I plan to buy another set but in 17s.
I may change my mind if I start to track, autoX, or find a driving school I can afford!
