Its clean, fast, and little to no problems. For information on the car give me a PM. . .
Basics; '88 M3 Alpine White II, Natural Tan interior, S14 engine with 199,698 miles on the whole car. Runs like a champ, owned buy a BMW mechanic and previously by a head Audi mechanic. Tasteful mods. Smog exempt. Looking to get 15g's for the car. Again for more detailed info give me a PM. I love this car but selling for other dream car.
Picture of the beauty.

I had a dream I bought an E30 M3 last night. Also in the dream I drove it to a garage sale and when I knocked on the door of the first house, I discovered a high school friend's sister boning another buddy's dad.:confused

Engine been rebuilt recently?
It has not been, but compression is good, valves adjusted every other oil change (im picky), and cooling system all changed. Car runs like a champ. If I were to keep it I was planning on doing just an engine refresh with new rings, valve job, gaskets and such but only to be able to say that I have done it.
Ali, thats random. I know I can fulfill one aspect of the dream though. :D

christmas day and I was not given an explanation. Probably the "where do you hate people from the most" thread
Yeah, answer the question, thought cars had to be 25yrs old to be exempt?
they stopped doing that. They actually have to be from 1975 or older, and that will never change again.

I dunno mang.
Rx-7's have been a secret love of mine. I was not aware of said body work and interior work though.
Salvage title isn't too bad, my old e36 M3 was salvage title and besides the new one I've picked up, I miss that blue beast the most. He said he has a way to re-brand the title too (assuming through said person he knows).
Dooooo et! But didn't you post something in this thread or the other about making mad bank after auto tech classes open or something like that? That would be your best bet is to wait for that, pay a few k more and have both.
That is the win win. :alright

Almost did the same thing 2 years ago but was quickly turned off by many different sources stating that the FD's have reliability issues.
IHeartE30s
01-14-2009, 10:27 AM
From the body work I see it doesnt look bad, he said it needs a dyno tune before you drive it 'hard' just to be sure on things since it just was rebuilt, and interior just needs a stereo which I could live without for the time being. I know they arent reliable for daily driver but I dont plan on that, just like the M3 it'll be a weekend bomber.
Philipk, the plans with that is that I will have one fun car and one reliable 4 seater. We plan on selling our 325is and buying either an E39 530i or MK5 R32 IF I make as much as he promised.

the first and 2nd gens aren't too bad, but the FD is just a whole other ballgame. There's a reason why people still use a first or second gen for a DD (cheap fixes if you know what you're doing), but you'll never see any FD's serving daily street duty, it's the turbo component that throws everything all off. But as he confirmed already, Skylar won't be using this for a DD anyways.
In all honesty, if you're not getting this car for under $9-10, then I wouldn't consider it. There are cleaner examples out there, case in point a friend picked one up for around $14k last year, 80k original miles, motor was freshly rebuilt, interior was clean as a whistle, owned by a older gentleman in his early 60's. There's just too many things that can potentially go wrong with these cars so you really need to understand the whole history behind them.
Skylar, how soon are you looking to go through with this? The ride in my buddy's FD can be arranged when he gets his brakes back from Michigan. Just a warning though, it's far from stock, and I guarantee you won't find too many FD's that will ride like this one does. He told me if I can pick up a $20 bill taped to his dashboard while he drives highway 9 I get to keep it, I've failed twice already.

Oh yeah thats right, I like the FC but would hate myself for not having an FD.
Im not a deadbeat damnit! Hahaha. I spent 80$ on his gift and mailed it out but was never received, had the right addy too! Oh well. . .
Also Im debating this with a nice tall glass (40oz glass) of good ol' Mickey's.

Man.. I'de buy that in a heartbeat if I wasn't in the middle of opening a shop. Are you sure you want to sell it?.. If it is still for sale when I am fully operational, you have a buyer. Check your pm. It's pretty cool to have one e30 m3 but two.... damn makes my mouth water. :D

If your E30M3 dies randomly and wont start but does later. . .replace your DME or get it rebuilt by Fuel Injection Corp. Same thing happened to mine and it fixed it right up. If its another problem let me know'
