Part II: smashed clears etc...

as I mentioned in an earlier post, some motherfu_ker smashed my clears.

I put the stock ones back on and took some pics.
The main reason I took the pics was because there are still requests from time to time for pics of the mozart. It's all dirty and stuff, but you can at least see what it looks like

man your car looks weird with the stock taillights on, I was used to seeing it with the all-clears...I guess I'm one of the few that liked the all-clear...wanted to get them but I was told they're illegal in cali. It sucks that they did that to your car...it still looks good tho...later

personally i dig 'em. they look different. but do u guyz think they look ricey, cause if u do then imma not gettin them. by the way are they legal in cali anyway?? dont want any "random" stops from authority figures, ya know!

well, I don't know bout that, I guess if you like 'em you should get 'em and don't care what anyone thinks, but you see a lot of all-clears on hondas and such so some people might consider them ricey...it's your call but make sure they're legal, I'm always speeding so I don't need to get any extra attention from cops cuz of my taillights.:D

I think the picture you have above don't do your clear lenses justice. They look cloudy to me, but if it's nice and shiney and clear (like the Lexus Altezza ones) I think they would look really nice not rice. IMHO I am starting to like those Altezza lenses (they look good on the right car). But, to be honest, I like the clean stock look of your amber's in your new pictures. They give the car a saturation of dark blue, dark red, dark yellow (like eye candy). But my opinion doesn't mean sh!t, it's the hunnies opinions that count ... am I right?

they're legal as long as the bulb blinks amber or red. It doesnt matter that the outside casing is clear. I have my car blinking clear, and I havent had any problems yet. The front ones are OK to blink clear.

alrite.... here's the deal, from what i was told by a local cop.... he told me that all clears are ILLEGAL, that you need red reflectors in the back... clears with red bulbs will not pass....

that's what i was told by the police in irvine....

oh btw... blu, i think smoked tailights would look awesome on your car!

damn freakin' cali cops.... well, they're fulla shit anyways...

but i know if i shoved those papers to show the po, he'd probably think im a smartass and write me up for everything illegal on my car... hmm... that goes for: tinted front windows, blue turn signal bulbs, exhaust (got hassled by that before), hell almost everything...

Oops - check out section 24607:
Every vehicle subject to registration under this code shall at all times be equipped with red reflectors mounted on the rear as follows:

(a) Every vehicle shall be equipped with at least one reflector so maintained as to be plainly visible at night from all distances within 350 to 100 feet from the vehicle when directly in front of the lawful upper headlamp beams.

(b) Every vehicle, other than a motorcycle or a low-speed vehicle , manufactured and first registered on or after January 1, 1965, shall be equipped with at least two reflectors meeting the visibility requirements of subdivision (a), except that trailers and semitrailers manufactured after July 23, 1973, that are less than 30 inches wide, may be equipped

But I would be LIVID if someone smashed up ANY of my lights ( red/amber, red/clear, all clears whatever)

I felt the same way when they stole my clear corners and side markers!!!
