It's junk, dont use it. The harbor freight rotary is a decent tool that you can use to learn on. But that orbital won't do anything for you.

The rotary though isn't something that you should jump straight to if you never touched a DA

To the first one mentioned in this thread (The Harbor Freight One): I wouldn't even bother with ANYTHING from them. They wouldn't back their product up worth a damn.

The the second one mentioned in this thread(The one that was on Amazon): Considering that there were NO reviews on the product, I wouldn't try it out... Also, I've never heard of 'WaxMaster' :shifty:

Yea the orbital buffers are usually good for applying wax....nothing else. They are too slow to do anything. :/

I bought this from harbor freight awhile ago http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Chicago-7-Var-Speed-Polisher-Sander_W0QQitemZ200264743492QQcmdZViewItem

Not bad, It works great. I have to get a smaller backing plate though.

What are you looking to do anyway? Just waxing?

I did a ton of research on buffers before going with this system... BTW. Get the detail buffer as well.... it pays for itself!
Google "griots garage" and go to their polishing section

The Information that they provide helps a little... but basically tells you not to be a complete idiot.

I would HIGHLY recommend this guys and their products

You get what you pay for! You paid good money for you 328i, don't be cheap and do it right.

If you need a hand or want to swing down to Annapolis, I can help you out.

I had to sign in just to comment on this thread. Your nuts to put anyting from HF on your car. I'm actually a victum of my own advise and did go through two of the rotary units for a project. Broken almost out of the box. Run away my friends...

agreed with you get what you pay for....if you want a 20$ orbital, which is basically no better than your hand...go to autozone they have them there, make sure you get a microfiber bonet unless you want immediate swirls but really i used to use one before I knew what I was doing, and I would never touch a car with one now.
