Get the BMW vehicle history report. They should be able to tell you what service has been performed. I was looking at one and it listed "dealer assist trade-in" - bad news.

Check to see if it has the new high pressure fuel pump (based on build date).

Check to see if the car has the oil cooler.

Check the available option packages on the car. If it's base with no real option packages that will affect the sell price. Cars with Premium, Cold Weather, Sport, and Comfort Access along with autos w/ the paddle shifters will go for more.

Sedans will be less then coupes.

I am pulling the trigger on an '07 sedan, 25k miles, all options listed above, for under $31k.

I just missed out on an '07 sedan, 19k miles, manual, sport/premium/cold weather (if I recall) and it was listed for $30k. The buyer likely got if for slightly less. The salesman told me the '06 finance deal (and the new car financing) was killing the '07 sales.
