Ok Well guys well i got my hands on the Apexcone DDM E39 Headlights... to say well wen i recieved it i thought id look a little better. theres an ugly chrome piece surrounding the corner light..only. other then that the headlights look very nice.
I hooked up the HIDs ..seems really bright cant tell cuase its daytime outside.
I tried to hook up the angel eyes ..but no luck.. its the MyCaRR CCFL ones and i just aint getting it. Ive hooked up angel eyes before .
i was thinking of hooking this one up to my foglights.. but
now im thinking i shuould hook it up to my ignition so it turns on when ever i turn my car on.
Anyone know what exact wire i need to tap into in order to tap into ignition wire. Thanks!

That "chrome" corner reflector is the reason why I ain't buying any after market headlight, and why im gonna be buying OEM 2001+ headlights. Of course they will cost a pretty penny, but that chrome side reflector just kills it for me, and the OEM amber corner is pure SEX.
And for the angel eyes, I believe you hook them up to the parking lights.
Check out www.bmwtips.com I believe they have a write-up on that.

I NEVER LEARN!!!:help:mad:mad:mad:mad:eyecrazy
WHY DO I KEEP BUYING AFTERMARKET LIGHTS
you know i could look past the awkward chrome covering for the corner lights.. now when i pluged everything in..
ONLY ONE ANGEL EYE WORKS ..on the passanger side. the high beam angel eye on that side doesnt even turn on.
the Angel eyes on the drivers side.. both flicker and light up about 1/8th of it. so its just barly at the top that light up.
and to make matters worse and a matter of SAFETY. i was adjusting the AIM on the headlights becuase it wasnt spread out properly. well the drivers side doesnt even seem to adjust .... and the passanger side. i tried adjusting it and a little more up (i was adjusting the up and down of the projectors) .. i hear a clunk and the projector just drops to the lowest possible. I tried adjusting it back .no luck it doesnt movie. i open up the little water proof rubber seal and now the whole projector moves slightly..
WHAT TO DO WHAT TO DO!!!
ANY IDEAS anyone.
I cant drive with only being able to see 3 feet in front of my car!

Simple adjustments. The Chrome is SICK idk what you guys are talking about. On my P39's you really have to turn the adjustment knobs alot before you notice a difference. Make sure the bulbs are sitting in the housing correctly. Play with them. How did you wire the AE's?

ok i know what chrome piece your talking about.. but once after i take pics of these headlights.. youll know exactly that IM NOT talking about that.
This is an awakrd piece of chrome.. ill take a pic in the day time.
and the angel eyes. i wired it acording to how DDM guys told me. I spliced it to the fog lights. running the extra wires from the fog lights to the engine bay so i can connect the AE's to the Foglights.
like i said 1 Angel eye works.. Passanger side
the other passanger side high beam one doesnt at all
the driver side ones light up faintly..

Nah, not for me. The chrome looks cheesy and cheap. if it wasn't chromed, but more of a clear reflector look, kinda like on the 2000 M5 headlights, but in the form of a 2001+ headlight, it would make the headlight look 1000x better.

ok screw DDMs Apexcone Headlights.. the angel eyes didnt work becuase 1 was broken... 2 of them.. iono i din even bother..
i just took the HIDs from the headlights and put it on my other Hella look alike ZOOMIK headlights. Works good.. had to cut a little though but its good.
Im guessing the Depos are good but the Apexcone are rediculous.. and i don think DDM really tested everything before they shipped it to me.
but they are helpful when you call them though..
i would return it but i doubt theyll honor it now.. since i did grab the HIDs from it and im 2 lazy to return shit.

no no im not saying there dat bad.. i loved the look of the ...one angel eye that actually worked..
it might of not been DDMs fault at all...
UPS is gay smtimes aswell.. and the DDM guys are REALLY REALLY helpful when you call them up.
Im just saying i shud of gotten Depos instead of the apexcone.
and im not gonna ask them for a refund or nethin and bother them about it.
I took the DDM HID kit outa the headlights they gave me and retro fitted it into my older headlights. nd the kit is absolutly awesome.. ive never seen the road so bright at night.

i'm with you on this. i always read about horror stories with DDM. of all the products that i've purchased from them, i've NEVER had a single problem. i've always received my package within a week and a half at most.
any problems i've had with hook-ups, someone there has walked me through the troubleshooting process.
i'm not a big fan of that chrome piece either. thankfully, i've got an 01 with oem hella xenons, so i didnt have to worry about this. HOWEVER, if i didn't have oem xenons, i would have purchased either those or the p39's from eurodyne. they're great for the price and the fact that you can customize everything from the bulb color to the AE style is a huge plus.

when you sell in large volume, the bad is bound to surface; however, the the transactions that go "correctly" remain largely unrecognized -- so it goes with the internet.
