I've tried to order H&R springs from two different suppliers online, including TURNER motorsports. They have nothing in stock and are waiting for H&R to send them some from Germany. This is way back in October. The second supplier just notified me that I'd have to wait two months and even then it was no guarantee.

I like H&R and used them on my M Roadster but this is ridiculous. Anyone have a suggestion for an alternative brand? I don't want slammed. I have a black 99 540i/6 Sport with chrome 17" staggered M Sports which I'm keeping on it.

Vogtland, Lowtec, B&G, Eibach to name a few.

Well I should clarify: I want quality springs and a good ride. I loved my last set of H&R's. Anyone have ideas for springs that compare or are better? Anyone have suggestions for springs to stay AWAY from?

Vogtland, B&G & Lowtec are all German made, TUV approved and high quality. Just not as known as H&R in the USA. I just bought my Lowtecs from Abrahamsmotorsports for a good deal. They are a forum sponsor, look in the vendor/group buy section.

+1

Eibach's have a stock ride, but doesn't get it very low...

Vogtland's ride is comfortable also... i had H&R's on a w211 e-class, sold my rims, put the car back to stock... got a rims again, and dropped it on some Vogtlands... i think it rode (comfort-wise) better than the H&R's IMO, with a decent drop...

Never tried Lowtec or B&G...

good luck with your decision...

Try shox.com if you want to stay in the H&R game. I would stick to your #1 choice :)

I just called H&R and they expect that container to arrive at their facility on January 19th.

I have a set for sale with like 500ish miles on them. They're the 50464s for 540i fitment and are in great condition. Shoot me an offer if you're interested, they're just sitting in my kitchen.

Too bad you didn't have them on the classifieds last week, I would have snapped them up!
