Hi everyone,
I am interested in getting a 2006 BMW 3 series sedan in the next 9 months. I was looking at the 325i but don't really know what the differences are between the other 330i etc.. Also I am wondering where I Could get a good deal on one. Could I get a good deal at a repo auction or would you suggest ebay. Thanks very much in advance.

2006 e90:

325i = 3 liter/215 hp
330i = 3 liter/255 hp

2007+ e90/91/92/92 (excuding M3)

328i = 3 liter/230 hp
335i = 3 liter twin turbo/300 hp

I would not get a used BMW unless it was CPO. Great cars and nothing on the road better to drive, but, not without some sort of warranty. They are big money to maintain, unless you're planning to do all the maintenance yourself.

Good luck.:buttrock

Yeah I learned my lesson. I bought my first bimmer at an Acura dealership down the street. Got a good price on it with super low miles, but it's not CPO. So I've got 23k or 1.5yrs left on the original warranty, and then I have no idea on what to do.

These newer cars seem so different from previous models, everything seems to be computerized. There's no dipstick for the oil or tranny. So I'm thinking I'll have to shell out the money for the warranty.

I too will have a decision to make when my lease is up in September.

Thanks for responding. I haven't been able to log on all this time because I forgot my password and messed it all up. But thanks for responding. :)

Just for future reference, you should be able to read all the forums except OT without a username/password, but you won't be able to reply/post.

I am not a big "power" person, so I bought a 328i (2009). I love it. But I leased it to make sure to get all the free maintenance and the warranty. Just FYI.
