today i installed my projector fogs with hids. i wired everything up the way ive done before with my headlamps. i flip the switch, fogs lights turn on for about 5 sec. then the Warning Code Eliminator (from ddm) starts to smoke. then kaboom, the eliminators POP! i quickly shut everything off. both of the eliminators are split open. has this happen to anyone. im thinking about try the radio shack method tomorrow. im gonna give ddm a call tomorrow.

well there are only 2 wires, and it plugs directly in, no?

IF it's a plug-and-play setup, you couldn't have messed it up.

But, if there was wiring involved, it could be your fault.

If it is a plug and play setup then they should re-do the whole thing for you as a "were sorry, let us make up for it by doing it ourselves and replacing everything for free" shouldn't they?

I purchased mine from DDM. Installed them in five minutes outside as it was getting dark. Next morning the lights do not work. WTH. Upon inspection of the plugs, I'd actually reversed the driver-side plug that conects to the ballest (from the resistor). Rotated it 180º and plugged it back in. Worked like a charm.

Cliff Notes: Check your connections. It is possible to plug things up incorrectly with a PnP item.

That is all.
