View Full Version : Road force saved me $$$$
I bought a set of aftermarket 18'' staggered M pars and within a month of having them I got the 50-60 mph shimmy. I went back to the shop I bought them from and had them rebalance the fronts to no avail. I was sure my bushings were bad and I was ready to put her in the shop and start replacing parts :mad. So I did search and saw a couple of posts stating the road force balance in a must with the e39... $80 later and the car drives smooth as glass!!! Plus the tech said the suspension was all good n tight. This is the first thing that everyone should do with the dreaded shimmy. Thanks bimmerforum :buttrock

It's easier just to go to the Hunter website and click on the tab at the upper far right where it says "LOCATE A GSP9700": http://www.gsp9700.com/pub/features/how.cfm
I would also suggest calling around to the wheel/tire centers in your area to get a price quote as to what they charge for road force balancing...you'll probably find that the cost can vary...a lot! ;)
Hunter tire balancing equipment incorporates some of the latest technology...but you have to know who has the newest equipment. You'll see Hunter equipment at a lot of places but not all of them have the GSP9700.
Thats exactly what I did :lol, I went on line and typed in my zip and I went with Goodyear in Downey as it is close to work.
